Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday shared an article written by Union Minister of State Prataprao Jadhav, highlighting the role of yoga in promoting healthy ageing and overall well-being.
The article stresses the importance of ensuring that citizens remain healthy, active and productive across all stages of life to build a stronger and more developed nation.
It further notes that yoga, rooted in India’s ancient knowledge systems, offers a holistic approach to health and serves as a lifelong companion in supporting healthy ageing.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister’s Office said that as the world prepares to observe International Day of Yoga 2026, the focus remains on promoting health and well-being through traditional practices.
“As the world gears up to celebrate International Day of Yoga 2026, Union MoS Shri @mpprataprao writes about the need to ensure that citizens remain healthy, active and productive across all stages of life to build a stronger and more developed nation,” the PMO said.
It added that yoga, rooted in India’s timeless knowledge, provides a comprehensive approach to health and plays a key role in supporting healthy ageing and lifelong wellness.
