Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday held a telephone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, during which the two leaders discussed the recent developments in West Asia.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, President Pezeshkian briefed Prime Minister Modi on the evolving situation in the region and the way forward following recent developments.
Prime Minister Modi welcomed the understanding reached and reiterated India’s consistent position that all issues should be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy.
He also underlined the need for continued efforts to ensure lasting peace and stability in the region while stressing the importance of safeguarding freedom of navigation and commerce.
