PM Modi to Chair 11th NITI Aayog Governing Council Meeting Today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair the 11th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog on Thursday at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre in New Delhi.
 
According to an official release, the meeting will be held under the theme “Inclusive Human Development for Viksit Bharat @2047”, in line with the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Team India’ for a developed India. The theme focuses on the well-being and development of every citizen, irrespective of age, region, gender or socio-economic background.
 
The Governing Council will deliberate on strategies to translate this vision into measurable outcomes and ensure inclusive growth across the country.
 
The meeting will bring together Chief Ministers and Lieutenant Governors to discuss an Inclusive Human Development Framework built around four key pillars: Foundational Human Capital and Future-Ready Skills; Productive Employment, Entrepreneurship and Decentralised Growth; Health, Nutrition and Wellbeing; and Equity and Dignity for All.
 
According to the release, discussions will also focus on promoting entrepreneurship, enhancing skilling initiatives and creating sustainable employment opportunities.
 
The Council is expected to deliberate on an implementation roadmap supported by governance reforms, Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), convergence, partnerships and data-driven systems. The roadmap will include mechanisms to track short-, medium- and long-term outcomes to ensure accountability and measurable impact.
 
A key focus of the meeting will be aligning state-level development visions with the national goal of inclusive human development, reinforcing a collaborative approach towards equitable and sustainable growth.
 
The Governing Council will also review recommendations emerging from the 5th National Conference of Chief Secretaries, held from December 26 to 28, 2025. The conference focused on five themes: Early Childhood Education, School Education, Skilling, Higher Education, and Sports and Extracurricular Activities.
 
The meeting will be attended by Chief Ministers of States and Union Territories, Lieutenant Governors and Administrators of Union Territories, Union Ministers, special invitees, and the Vice Chairman, Members and Chief Executive Officer of NITI Aayog, the release added.
