Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta | Ayushman Jan Arogya Mandirs

Delhi govt opens 45 new Ayushman Jan Arogya Mandirs, total rises to 415

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday highlighted the inauguration of 45 new Ayushman Jan Arogya Mandirs, vowing to take the number of the city’s neighbourhood health centres from 415 to 1,100 in the coming months.

According to a post shared by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) on X, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated 45 new Ayushman Arogya Mandirs from Shakurpur, reaffirming the Delhi Government’s commitment to ensuring that every citizen has access to quality healthcare close to home.

Delhi now has over 415 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs delivering primary healthcare across the city. The Government is steadily moving towards its goal of establishing more than 1,100 such centres.

These facilities provide OPD consultations, maternal and child healthcare, immunisation, essential medicines and over 80 types of free diagnostic tests, bringing completely free and accessible healthcare to every neighbourhood.

Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh earlier said the current round of inauguration of 45 facilities is the seventh Phase of the Ayushman Arogya Mandir initiative.

He said these centres will bring essential healthcare services closer to communities, with a strong focus on preventive, promotive and comprehensive primary healthcare.

The inauguration followed the successful operationalisation of 370 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs across the Capital, including 244 Urban Sub Health Centres and 126 Urban Primary Health Centres, reflecting the Delhi Government’s sustained commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery at the grassroots level.

The new Ayushman Arogya Mandirs will provide a comprehensive range of healthcare services, including maternal and child healthcare, immunisation, screening and management of non-communicable diseases, treatment of common illnesses, essential medicines, diagnostics, and health promotion and wellness services, he said.

“The dedication of 45 new Ayushman Arogya Mandirs marks another important milestone in our efforts to make quality healthcare accessible, affordable and equitable for every resident of Delhi,” said the Health Minister.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the Delhi Government is committed to building a robust, citizen-centric healthcare system by continuously expanding quality healthcare infrastructure across the city.
