The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Thursday declared the results of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) 2026, with 11.21 lakh candidates qualifying for admission to undergraduate medical, dental, AYUSH and allied courses across the country.
The agency said the results were announced on schedule to ensure the counselling and medical college admission process proceeds without delay. It had released the final answer key ahead of declaring the results.
According to the NTA, nearly 20 lakh candidates appeared for the examination, which was held on June 21 at 5,440 centres across 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad.
The exam was conducted in 13 languages.
The agency said candidates from almost all states and Union Territories featured among the toppers, while women accounted for more than 58 per cent of the qualified candidates.
In a statement, the NTA said the timely declaration of results would help keep the counselling and medical college admission schedule on track.
