4th Tri-Services Future Warfare Course to begin in New Delhi on August 3

The fourth edition of the Tri-Services Future Warfare Course will commence at the Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi on August 3, bringing together military officers and experts from across sectors to examine the evolving character of modern warfare and emerging security challenges.

The four-week course is being conducted under the aegis of the Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff (HQ IDS) and coordinated by the Centre for Joint Warfare Studies (CENJOWS).

The programme will bring together officers from the Army, Navy and Air Force, along with representatives from government organisations, academia, industry and strategic think tanks. It is aimed at fostering a joint understanding of future operational challenges and strengthening discussions on issues expected to shape the future battlefield.

The curriculum covers a broad range of subjects, including geopolitical developments, artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, cyber and cognitive warfare, information warfare, autonomous systems, future operations across the land, maritime, air and space domains, grey-zone operations, multi-domain operations and technology-enabled warfare.

Participants will attend lectures delivered by senior military officers, policymakers, scientists, industry leaders and subject matter experts. The course is designed to encourage informed discussions on emerging trends in warfare while enhancing jointness and preparedness for future operational environments.
