BIOFACH India 2026

APEDA hosts global buyers at BIOFACH India 2026 to boost organic exports

The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) has facilitated the participation of more than 35 international buyers from 13 countries at BIOFACH India 2026, aiming to strengthen India’s presence in the global organic market and boost agricultural exports.

Organised by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with Nuernberg Messe India, the three-day event is being held from August 6 to 8 at the India Expo Centre and Mart (IEML) in Greater Noida.

The international buyers, representing leading importers, distributors, wholesalers and retail chains from countries including Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Mongolia and Egypt, are participating in structured Buyer-Seller Meets (BSMs) with Indian exhibitors. The interactions are aimed at fostering business partnerships, exploring new sourcing opportunities and promoting long-term export collaborations.

The event features more than 200 exhibitors, including over 60 participants under the APEDA Pavilion, showcasing India’s certified organic products.

Speaking on the occasion, Katikithala Srinivas, Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, said the organic sector presents significant opportunities to expand India’s agricultural exports while creating greater market opportunities for farmers and agri-enterprises.

He said platforms such as BIOFACH India help showcase India’s diverse range of certified organic products, facilitate engagement with international buyers, strengthen the country’s presence in global organic markets, promote sustainable agricultural practices and improve value realisation across the organic value chain.

The APEDA Pavilion brings together exporters, women entrepreneurs, Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs), startups and organic enterprises from across the country.

Products on display include cereals, pulses, millets, spices, tea, coffee, fresh fruits and vegetables, processed foods, herbs, medicinal plants, oilseeds, edible oils, honey, cocoa products, natural ingredients, organic nutraceuticals and other value-added food products.

The exhibitors represent several organic-producing states, including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand and Maharashtra, highlighting India’s growing capacity in certified organic production and its diverse agro-climatic strengths.
