Ashwini Vaishnaw leads Tiranga rally at Rail Bhawan ahead of Independence Day

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Friday led a Tiranga Rally at Rail Bhawan as Indian Railways joined the nationwide ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign ahead of the 80th Independence Day.

Chairman and CEO of the Railway Board Satish Kumar, Board Members, Directors General and other senior officials participated in the rally, reaffirming the message of patriotism, national unity and pride.

The celebrations by Indian Railways are being organised alongside the third phase of the commemoration of 150 years of ‘Vande Mataram’, with a series of programmes highlighting the historical and cultural significance of the national song.

As part of the celebrations, Rail Bhawan hosted a quiz competition on ‘150 Years Journey of Vande Mataram’ on August 10. The programme provided railway officials an opportunity to explore the history and legacy of the iconic national song.

A special cultural programme featuring patriotic songs was organised at Rail Bhawan on August 11, drawing enthusiastic participation from officials and employees.

On August 14, a mass singing of ‘Vande Mataram’ was also organised at Rail Bhawan as part of the Independence Day celebrations.

The programmes are aimed at strengthening the spirit of patriotism, national pride and unity among Indian Railways officials and employees. The celebrations also seek to highlight the country’s heritage while reflecting its aspirations for a modern and progressive India.
