Delhi-NCR is likely to witness partly cloudy skies, hazy sunshine and hot weather on Saturday, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting a maximum temperature of around 36 degrees Celsius and a minimum of nearly 26 degrees Celsius.
Weather conditions across the national capital region are expected to remain warm to very warm during the day. Morning and night temperatures are likely to remain between 25 and 28 degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures could rise to 35-37 degrees Celsius.
No specific rain warning has been issued for Delhi, though weather conditions may vary across different parts of the region.
In Noida, residents are likely to experience hot and humid conditions with partly cloudy to variable skies. While warm to very hot weather is expected, isolated spells of rain cannot be ruled out.
Gurugram is also likely to remain hot and largely dry, with hazy sunshine during the day. The maximum temperature may touch around 37 degrees Celsius, while the minimum is expected to remain close to 27 degrees Celsius.
Ghaziabad is likely to experience mostly clear to sunny skies, with the maximum temperature expected to reach around 35 degrees Celsius and the minimum to remain near 27 degrees Celsius. No major weather warning has been indicated for the city.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a heavy to torrential rainfall alert for 21 states for August 29, including Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The warning also includes the possibility of strong winds, with gusts reaching up to 85 kmph in some areas.
Authorities have advised farmers, fishermen and the general public to exercise caution in view of the adverse weather conditions. Strong winds could uproot trees and disrupt road traffic and other travel.
People travelling through forested or densely wooded areas have been advised to check the latest weather updates before starting their journey. Eastern India is expected to remain particularly vulnerable in the coming hours, with warnings of lightning and thunderstorms issued for several districts.
