The Department of Posts has made special arrangements for booking Rakhi consignments in Delhi ahead of Raksha Bandhan, which will be celebrated on August 28 this year.

Special Rakhi Mail booking counters will be set up at 34 major post offices across Delhi, along with Delhi Railway Station and New Delhi Railway Station, to ensure smooth and timely dispatch of Rakhi articles. The facility will remain available for customers posting Rakhi mails until August 22.

The move aims to help customers avoid last-minute rush and ensure timely delivery of Rakhi consignments during the festive season. The Department of Posts has advised people to book their articles well in advance at designated post offices.

The designated locations include major offices such as Delhi GPO, New Delhi GPO, Civil Lines, Chanakyapuri, Karol Bagh, Lajpat Nagar, Rohini Sector-7, Sarojini Nagar, Kalkaji, Lodi Road and R.K. Puram, among others. Special transit mail offices have also been set up at Delhi Railway Station and New Delhi Railway Station.

The Department has also encouraged customers to use its ’24 SPEED POST’ and ’48 SPEED POST’ services for secure and time-bound delivery of Rakhi and other important consignments.

The ’24 SPEED POST’ service offers guaranteed delivery standards with a Money Back Guarantee in case of delays. The service is available at 35 designated booking locations in Delhi for deliveries to six major metro cities — Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad.

The initiative is aimed at providing customers with faster, reliable and assured delivery options during the festive period, when demand for postal services increases significantly.
