Fourth India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable to be held in Singapore on August 20

The fourth round of the India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable (ISMR) will be held in Singapore on August 20, with India set to discuss ways to deepen bilateral cooperation across emerging and strategic areas.

Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, and Minister of State for Commerce and Industry and Electronics and Information Technology Jitin Prasada will represent India at the meeting.

During their visit, the ministers will hold discussions with their Singaporean counterparts and are also scheduled to meet the country’s leadership.

The ISMR has emerged as an important institutional mechanism for advancing India-Singapore cooperation in new and emerging areas. The inaugural meeting was held in New Delhi in September 2022, followed by the second round in Singapore in August 2024 and the third round in New Delhi in August 2025.

Discussions under the ministerial roundtable have focused on areas including advanced manufacturing, connectivity, digitalisation, healthcare and medicine, skills development and sustainability. These deliberations have contributed to the Roadmap for the India-Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP), which was unveiled during Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong’s visit to India in September 2025.

The upcoming fourth round will provide an opportunity for both sides to review progress on ongoing initiatives under the partnership and identify new avenues to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.

The fourth India-Singapore Business Roundtable, which serves as a strategic and advisory forum bringing together leading business figures from both countries, will also be held alongside the ministerial roundtable.

The meetings are expected to provide further momentum to India-Singapore economic and strategic ties, particularly in sectors linked to technology, manufacturing, digitalisation, sustainability and connectivity.
