Har Ghar Tiranga Cycle Yatra promotes fitness, clean environment among citizens in Delhi

A ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Cycle Yatra’ was held at Major Dhyan Chand Stadium in the national capital on Wednesday as part of the Independence Day celebrations, with Union Minister Mansukh L. Mandaviya participating in the event.

More than 1,000 MY Bharat volunteers joined the cycle rally, which aimed to promote fitness, healthy lifestyles and environmental awareness among citizens.

Mandaviya underlined the importance of a healthy population in building a developed nation. “In Delhi, more than 1,000 MY Bharat volunteers conveyed a message of fitness to the nation through the Har Ghar Tiranga Cycle Yatra,” he said, stressing that cycling can promote physical fitness while also helping address pollution and traffic congestion.

The Union Minister said greater adoption of cycling could reduce fuel consumption, ease traffic and contribute to environmental protection. He also highlighted cycling as a sustainable and healthy mode of transport that can advance both individual well-being and broader societal goals.

The event sought to blend the spirit of Independence Day with a message of fitness, sustainability and responsible citizenship, encouraging young people to embrace healthier and more environmentally friendly lifestyles.
