Haryana CM meets PM Modi, discusses state’s development

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday in Delhi and said a detailed discussion was held with the PM regarding the state’s development.

During the meeting, the various issues, including the new industrial policy and investment in the state, were discussed in detail, Saini said, adding he also received the prime minister’s guidance.

He said that Prime Minister Modi was apprised of the recently launched industrial policy and the nine sectoral policies issued along with it, according to an official statement.

Under the new industrial policy, a target of investment worth Rs 5 lakh crore has been set over the next five years, Saini said. On the day the policy was launched, investment worth Rs 1.10 lakh crore came in, the statement said.

The PM was also apprised of the MSME policy launched in the state, he said.

“At a meeting held with leading industrialists in Mumbai this month, MoUs worth approximately Rs 66,000 crore were signed. All such information was shared with the prime minister,” said Saini.

He further said that the prime minister was also informed about the completion of the first phase of the Integrated Logistics Hub at Nangal Chaudhary in Narnaul.
