The Publications Division of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has won seven awards at the Federation of Indian Publishers (FIP) Awards for Excellence in Book Production 2026, recognising its editorial and publishing work across Hindi, English and Urdu.
The Division secured four second prizes and three third prizes in various categories covering reference books, general and trade books, journals, children’s publications and art and coffee-table books.
Among the publications receiving second prizes, ‘Bharat 2026’ won in the Reference Books – Hindi category, while ‘Wings to Our Hopes – Volume 2’ was recognised in the General and Trade Books – English category.
‘Yojana – July 2026’, themed ‘Viksit Bharat@2047’, received the second prize in the Journals and House Magazines – Hindi category. ‘Kurukshetra – A Rural Development Monthly Since 1952’ also secured a second prize in the Journals and House Magazines – English category.
Three Publications Division titles received third prizes. ‘Dharti Ki Sehat’ was recognised in the Children’s Books (General Interest) (0-10 Years) – Hindi category, while ‘Rangoli Roop Sur Lay Ki’ won in the Art and Coffee Table Books – Hindi category. ‘Ajkal Urdu – July 2026’ secured the third prize in the Journals and House Magazines, Indian Languages (Urdu) category.
The awards were presented in recognition of excellence in publishing, editorial quality and diversity of content.
Publications Division Director General Dr Dhiraj Kakadia felicitated the editors of the award-winning publications and congratulated the officers and personnel associated with the achievement.
Kakadia said the seven awards reflected the collective effort and dedication of the Publications Division’s officers and personnel. He said the recognition would further encourage the Division to publish high-quality, credible and useful content for readers.
He also highlighted the role of the Division’s books and journals in disseminating content related to national development, knowledge and science, literature, culture, art and contemporary issues.
The Publications Division said the recognition would strengthen its efforts to produce and disseminate credible, informative and culturally enriching publications in Hindi, English and Urdu.
The Federation of Indian Publishers (FIP) is a representative body of publishers in English, Hindi and other Indian languages, with members from across the country. According to the Publications Division, the organisation represents more than 80 per cent of India’s publishing industry through its direct members and publishers represented by various local associations.
