Rainfall activity declined across Rajasthan with the monsoon weakening, while temperatures have risen again in several parts of the state, particularly western districts, the Meteorological Department said on Friday.
According to the Meteorological Centre, Jaipur, light rainfall of 1-3 cm was recorded at several places in Dholpur, Jhalawar and Baran districts of eastern Rajasthan during the 24-hour period ending Friday morning.
Western Rajasthan remained dry during the period, the department said.
Sri Ganganagar recorded the highest maximum temperature at 41.4 degrees Celsius, followed by Churu at 39.6 degrees, Pilani at 39.2 degrees and Phalodi at 39 degrees.
The department noted that temperatures have increased again in the western parts of the state following the decline in rainfall activity.
Rainfall activity is likely to remain subdued across most parts of Rajasthan during the coming week, with weak monsoon conditions expected to prevail, it said.
However, rainfall activity is likely to increase again in some parts of eastern Rajasthan during September 4-7, the department said.
