Union Home Minister Amit Shah today appealed to every citizen to participate in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, hoist the tricolour and upload a selfie on harghartiranga.com.
“The #HarGharTiranga campaign, initiated by PM Shri @narendramodi Ji, is a reflection of our nation’s collective strength, uniting us in our endeavour to build a Viksit Bharat,” read his post on X.
“The movement, which coincides with the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram this year, makes the occasion even more heart-stirring for every patriot. I appeal to every citizen to participate in and celebrate this campaign through Tiranga Yatras, Tiranga Rallies and mass singing of Vande Mataram, and to hoist the Tiranga and upload a selfie on http://harghartiranga.com,” said the Home Minister.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday urged citizens to participate enthusiastically in the Har Ghar Tiranga movement and renew their collective resolve to contribute towards building a Viksit Bharat.
Sharing the Ministry of Culture’s post on X, PM Modi said, “Our Tricolour is our pride and a constant source of inspiration to always give our best for the nation. Let us participate enthusiastically in the Har Ghar Tiranga movement and renew our collective resolve to contribute towards building a Viksit Bharat.”
“Glad that this year’s efforts are dedicated to Vande Mataram and that too at a time when we are marking its 150th anniversary,” the Prime Minister added.
The Culture Ministry said the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign this year would seek to bring the spirit of patriotism to streets and homes across the country through Tiranga Yatras, Tiranga Rallies, Tiranga Concerts and mass singing of Vande Mataram.
The ministry said the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram would provide an opportunity for citizens to celebrate the national song as part of the Independence Day festivities. A key feature of this year’s celebrations will be ‘Suryapath Tiranga’, described by the ministry as a first-of-its-kind initiative aimed at bringing Indians across the world together in a global celebration of the Tricolour. The Ministry appealed to citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes and upload their selfies on the Har Ghar Tiranga website.
The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign has emerged as a nationwide public participation initiative associated with Independence Day celebrations, encouraging citizens to display the national flag and express their connection with the country.
This year’s campaign from August 9 to August 17 combines the display of the Tricolour with celebrations marking 150 years of Vande Mataram, seeking to reinforce the spirit of patriotism and collective participation ahead of Independence Day.
