BRICS Summit reflects India’s growing global leadership, commitment to world welfare: Yogi Adityanath

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hailed the successful conclusion of the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi, saying the summit held under India’s presidency reflected the country’s growing leadership capacity on the global stage and its commitment to the welfare of the world.

Taking to X, Adityanath said, “Under the successful leadership of the Honorable Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji, the BRICS Summit successfully concluded in New Delhi has proven to be a pivotal moment in providing new direction to global cooperation, inclusive development, and the empowered voice of the Global South.

This summit, held under India’s presidency, stands as strong evidence of India’s growing leadership capacity on the global stage and its commitment to the welfare of the world.

This summit will serve as a milestone in the direction of building a strong and inclusive world order. #BRICS2026 #BRICSIndia”

India hosted the 18th BRICS Summit on September 12 and 13 under the theme “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability”. 

Leaders of the 11 member countries and 10 partner countries attended the Summit, along with representatives of some international organisations. The New Delhi Declaration was adopted unanimously. 

The declaration covers issues including global governance, economic cooperation, trade, energy security, technology, climate change, and reforms of international institutions.
