Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday unveiled two commemorative postage stamps marking two decades of BRICS cooperation on the sidelines of the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi.
The commemorative stamps bear the inscription “BRICS: Two Decades of Cooperation, 2006–2026” / “ब्रिक्स: सहयोग के दो दशक, 2006–2026”, celebrating the evolution of BRICS as a valuable platform for dialogue and cooperation, according to a press release from the Prime Minister’s Office.
The two stamps also highlight the priorities of India’s BRICS Chairship 2026 under the theme, “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability.”
According to the PMO, the first stamp embodies the emergence of BRICS as a platform based on the spirit of mutual respect, understanding and solidarity.
The second stamp features the BRICS logo reflecting the vision of “Humanity First” and a people-centric approach that guides India’s BRICS Chairship.
India is hosting the 18th BRICS Summit at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on September 12–13, with leaders from BRICS member and partner countries as well as outreach invitees participating in the summit.
