Indian embassies in Bahrain, Kuwait and UAE organised several community-focused activities as part of Seva Pakhwada – highlighting themes such as fitness, environmental awareness, cleanliness, civic participation and community engagement.
In Bahrain, the Embassy of India organised the Viksit Bharat Run, bringing together around 200 members of the Indian diaspora, including members of Samskruthi Bahrain. The three-kilometre run was followed by a collective recitation of the Viksit Bharat pledge and a ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign where community members participated in a park cleaning drive.
In Kuwait, the Embassy, in association with ARMS4U and KIPCO Group, organised a tree plantation drive under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign. The initiative brought together community members and partners with the shared objective of honouring mothers through a meaningful act of planting trees. More than 30 Indian community associations participated, planting over 60 saplings to promote greener public spaces and environmental sustainability.
In UAE, the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi marked Seva Parv, commemorating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public service with members of the Indian Community. Several school students participated in the programme, along with various organisations including Indian People’s Forum (IPF), Indian Business & Professional Council (IBPC), Indian Business and Professional Group (IBPG) and ICAI.
The Indian community joined in these programmes with great enthusiasm and in the spirit of unity. More such programmes are planned in other places in West Asia in the coming days.
