Indian Navy’s sail training ship INS Sudarshini concluded its port call at Barcelona, Spain, on September 6 as part of the ongoing Lokayan 2026 expedition.
During the visit, the ship’s Commanding Officer held professional exchanges with senior officials of the Spanish Navy and maritime authorities, focusing on strengthening maritime cooperation and professional ties between the two countries.
A deck reception was also hosted onboard INS Sudarshini, which was attended by senior naval officers, diplomatic representatives, civil authorities and distinguished guests.
The ship was opened to visitors, allowing members of the Indian diaspora and local residents to interact with the crew and naval trainees.
The port call provided an opportunity for professional and cultural exchanges and reaffirmed the enduring maritime ties between India and Spain.
The visit also contributed to strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two countries as INS Sudarshini continues its Lokayan 2026 expedition.
