Kerala is trying to attract more tourists from the Gulf region by focusing on strengthening ties with the UAE’s travel industry and stakeholders, and by promoting the state as a diverse, year-round destination. Kerala Tourism participated in the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) held in Dubai.
The Arabian Travel Market (ATM) is a major annual trade show for the international travel and tourism industry, held in Dubai from September 14th to 17th. The event serves as a global business platform for inbound and outbound tourism professionals.
At the Kerala Travel Meet in Dubai – held around the theme of ‘Green Peace – Yalla Kerala’, the State showcased its tourism offerings and engaged with UAE-based industry stakeholders. State Tourism Minister P. C. Vishnunadh underlined Kerala’s diverse offerings, describing the state as a destination for every season by highlighting its backwaters, beaches, natural landscapes, Ayurveda, wellness, culture and adventure tourism.
Kerala Tourism Secretary Biju K. presented the state as a distinctive global tourism destination, highlighting its recognition in leading international destination rankings and lists, and invited UAE-based travel trade and stakeholders to participate in the Kerala Travel Mart 2026, to be held later this month.
The event also featured a B2B buyer–seller interaction between Kerala Tourism trade partners and buyers from the UAE, providing a platform to build business linkages and promote Kerala among travellers from the Gulf region.
Consul General of India in Dubai Dr. E. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy reaffirmed the Consulate’s support in facilitating stronger India-UAE tourism exchanges, highlighting tourism as an important sector in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat.
