Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Sunday extended greetings to the people on the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi, describing the festival as a sacred occasion dedicated to Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and the bestower of auspiciousness.
LS Speaker Birla prayed for Lord Ganesha’s blessings to remove obstacles and difficulties from everyone’s lives and bring happiness, peace, prosperity and good health.
He said the divine blessings of Lord Ganesha should infuse renewed energy into the nation’s resolve towards progress and the welfare of the people.
LS Speaker Birla calls for knowledge, wisdom and harmony
The Lok Sabha Speaker urged people to use the auspicious occasion to resolve to move forward on the path of knowledge, wisdom and harmony.
He also called for fostering a spirit of universal brotherhood and seeking the well-being, prosperity and auspiciousness of all.
“With a spirit of universal brotherhood, may we seek the well-being, prosperity and auspiciousness of all at the feet of Gajanan, the First-Worshipped One,” LS Speaker Birla said.
He concluded his message with the traditional greeting, “Ganpati Bappa Morya.”
