Double Olympic medallist shooter Manu Bhaker qualified for the women’s 10m air pistol final after finishing third in the qualification round at the Asian Games on Wednesday.
Bhaker, who won two bronze medals at the Paris Olympics, shot 579 to finish third, while Esha Singh ended 15th with 572 and missed out on a place in the final. Suruchi Singh finished 26th with a score of 568.
India also missed out on a medal to Vietnam in the 10m air rifle women’s team event, finishing fourth on the basis of inner 10s after both teams were tied on 1719.
India have so far collected five shooting medals, including four silver and a bronze.
