Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday shared an opinion piece by former President Ram Nath Kovind that praised the central government’s development model for expanding social inclusion.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said that Kovind’s article underlined the focus on ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ and observed that those who were previously “unheard, unseen or underserved” were increasingly being brought into the mainstream.
Kovind, who served as President from 2017 to 2022, said the most enduring achievement of the PM Modi era may lie not in any single scheme or infrastructure project but in the expansion of the Indian mainstream itself.
He cited initiatives targeting the Northeast, tribal communities, border villages, aspirational districts and blocks, women and financially excluded households as examples of an approach focused on wider participation in development.
