Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Friday inaugurated a newly built control room at the West Bengal Traffic Police Headquarters in Salt Lake area adjoining Kolkata, a senior officer said.
Accompanied by Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Agarwal, Home Secretary Nandini Chakraborty, DGP Siddh Nath Gupta and other senior police officers, Adhikari appreciated the new setup and said it would be of great help in maintaining smooth traffic movement across the state, he said.
Adhikari interacted with senior officers and enquired about the specifics of the new control room.
“During the brief interaction with our officers, the CM appreciated the policemen for their services and asked them to continue carrying out their responsibilities,” the officer added.
