The UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has announced that the transfer of passengers to Tel Aviv has been completed following the temporary suspension of flydubai flights to the destination.
The GCAA said 37 flights were operated from Dubai International Airport to Ben Gurion Airport between October 2 and October 5, carrying 7,479 passengers. As an alternative to the suspended flydubai services, UAE authorities also granted permits to Israeli carriers to operate flights to Dubai, alongside Etihad Airways services. The aviation regulator said coordination is now complete for passengers whose flights were disrupted and who were left stranded, with those passengers now returned to their destinations.
The Emirates News Agency (WAM), citing the UAE aviation regulator, reported that Etihad Airways continues to operate scheduled flights to Tel Aviv, providing additional travel options for passengers.
