Captain Smit Machchhar recovering well after flydubai incident: Indian Ambassador

Captain Smit Machchhar, who was injured in the flydubai flight incident, is in stable condition and recovering well, Indian Ambassador to the UAE Dr Deepak Mittal said.
 
Speaking exclusively to Prasar Bharati, Ambassador Mittal said he met Captain Machchhar and his family in the UAE and found the pilot in good spirits.
 
“He was speaking openly and smiling, which was a great relief for us and, most importantly, for his family,” the Ambassador said.
 
Dr Mittal said Captain Machchhar is receiving good medical care and that the Indian Embassy is maintaining continuous contact with the UAE authorities regarding his condition.
 
He assured that the Embassy would extend all possible assistance to the injured pilot and ensure that he receives the best available medical care during his recovery.
 
The flydubai flight incident occurred on Wednesday on a flight travelling from Dubai to Tel Aviv. The incident led to the captain being injured, while the flight was subsequently brought under control and landed safely.
