External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar will undertake an official visit to Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire and Ethiopia from October 6 to 10 to strengthen bilateral cooperation and deepen India’s partnership with Africa.
During the visit, EAM Jaishankar will hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts and meet the leadership of all three countries to review ties of friendship and cooperation.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), discussions will cover trade and economic relations, development cooperation, capacity building and people-to-people ties. He will also exchange views on regional and global issues of mutual interest.
In Addis Ababa, EAM Jaishankar will chair the Regional Heads of Mission (HoMs) Conference.
“The visit of EAM is reflective of India’s commitment to deepen its partnership with Africa, and will further India’s solidarity with Global South,” said the MEA.
