A helicopter operated by M/S Transbharat Aviation Pvt Ltd crashed in the forest area near Chai village in Joshimath, Uttarakhand, on October 30.
The helicopter, bearing registration number VT-HCX and of type AS350B3, took off from Badrinath helipad at 1314 hrs and was en route to Sahastradhara helipad in Dehradun with one pilot and five passengers on board.
The wreckage has been located, and search and rescue operations are underway, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
DGCA Team Dispatched
A team from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has been dispatched to Dehradun to conduct a preliminary and regulatory assessment of the accident.
