IAF Ready to Meet Any Challenge, Says Air Chief Marshal A P Singh

Air Chief Marshal A P Singh stated on Thursday that the operational capabilities of the Indian Air Force (IAF) are heading in the right direction and the force remains fully alert and ready to handle any challenge.

Speaking at the 94th Air Force Day celebrations held at the Hindan air base, he said that over the past 94 years, the IAF has evolved into an exceptional, capable, and multi-domain force that ranks among the best globally. He also paid homage to the brave air warriors who sacrificed their lives for the country.

Highlighting the lessons from recent global conflicts, the air chief emphasized that air power has proven to be the primary way to safeguard a nation’s interests. He specifically mentioned Operation Sindoor to showcase the remarkable speed of the IAF’s combat operations. Reassuring the nation, he stated that the force is committed and would leave no stone unturned to meet or even exceed expectations.

With his retirement scheduled for October 31, Air Chief Marshal Singh shared that serving as the chief of the IAF has been his greatest fortune and a moment of immense pride. The grand celebration at Hindan featured a ceremonial parade, the presence of all three service chiefs and senior military leaders, and the arrival of the air chief in a vintage 1960s car accompanied by a helicopter flypast. The event also included an impressive static display of the IAF’s top combat assets, including Rafale and Su-30 MKI fighter jets, Prachand helicopters, and advanced air defense systems.
