India strongly condemned the continued attacks on civilian and energy infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, which resulted in civilian deaths and injuries.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), one Indian national was killed and two others were injured in attacks on King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, while another Indian national was injured in the attack on Saudi Aramco’s Shaybah oil field in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province on October 21.
The Ministry conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and wished those injured a speedy recovery. It said the Indian Embassy in Riyadh was in contact with Saudi authorities and would provide all possible assistance.
“We also reiterate that the attacks on civilian and critical infrastructure are completely unacceptable and must cease immediately. We stand in solidarity with the people and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in safeguarding its sovereignty, and hope that peace and normalcy would return to the region at the earliest,” the MEA said.
