PM Modi, Amit Shah pay tribute to Maharaja Agrasen on his birth anniversary

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Sunday paid tribute to Maharaja Agrasen on his birth anniversary, recalling his ideals of equality, cooperation and social harmony.

In a Hindi post on X, PM Modi described Maharaja Agrasen as a pioneer of public service and social harmony whose life and ideals continued to guide people towards humanity.

“His profound thoughts will always remain a source of inspiration for India’s cultural upliftment,” the Prime Minister said.

HM Shah remembered Maharaja Agrasen as a pioneer of equality, self-reliance and harmony who laid the foundation of an equitable society through mutual cooperation, social justice and prosperity for all.

“His tradition of ‘one brick, one rupee’ remains a beautiful example of social harmony,” the Home Minister said in a Hindi post on X, adding that his ideals would continue to inspire society to become united, empowered and self-reliant.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath greeted residents of Uttar Pradesh and paid tribute to Maharaja Agrasen for making justice, equality and philanthropy the foundation of social harmony and public welfare.

His message of “one brick, one rupee” offered a timeless principle of strength through cooperation, prosperity through harmony and nation-building through collective effort, the UP CM said in a Hindi post on X.

Delhi CM Rekha Gupta also extended greetings to citizens, saying Maharaja Agrasen upheld equality, social harmony and public welfare.

“Maharaja Agrasen made cooperation, service and philanthropy the strength of society,” she said. His ideals encouraged people to move forward together, assist those in need and build a strong, harmonious and prosperous society, she added.
