Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday paid tribute to Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia on her birth anniversary, recalling her dedication to national service, public welfare and her principles.
In a Hindi post on X, PM Modi said Scindia’s sacrifice and commitment to serving the nation were a source of inspiration for everyone.
“Her ideals and thoughts will also lend fresh energy to the resolve to build a developed India,” the Prime Minister said.
HM Shah remembered Scindia as a founding member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) who renounced royal grandeur to pursue public service and devoted her life to strengthening nationalist ideology.
“During the struggle against the Emergency, she endured the hardships of imprisonment for months but never compromised on her principles,” he said in a Hindi post on X.
The Home Minister added that her life would always remain a source of inspiration for every party worker.
Singh described Scindia as a symbol of sacrifice, service and devotion to the nation. He said she dedicated her life to national service, public welfare and the preservation of Indian cultural values, while working tirelessly for women’s dignity and empowerment.
“Her life will continue to inspire unwavering commitment to national and public service, and steadfast dedication to principles,” the Defence Minister said.
