Polish PM Donald Tusk to Visit India from October 21-23, Hold Bilateral Talks with PM Modi

Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk will undertake an official visit to India from October 21 to 23, at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He will hold bilateral talks with PM Modi on October 22, during which the two leaders will review the entire spectrum of bilateral relations, which were elevated to a Strategic Partnership during PM Modi’s visit to Poland in August 2024. They will also exchange views on regional and global issues of mutual interest.

Prime Minister Tusk will also travel to Bengaluru, where he will engage with business stakeholders, including representatives from the IT and space sectors. An India-Poland Business Forum will be held in New Delhi on October 22 and in Bengaluru on October 23.

The visit will provide an opportunity to further strengthen the India-Poland Strategic Partnership and advance cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including trade and investment, defence, emerging technologies, renewable energy, education, culture and people-to-people ties. It will also serve to deepen the India-European Union (EU) Strategic Partnership, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of External Affairs.

Prime Minister Tusk will be accompanied by Andrzej Domanski, Minister of Finance and Economy, along with a large business delegation. This will be his second visit to India as Prime Minister of Poland, following his earlier visit in 2010. He also visited New Delhi in 2017 for the India-EU Summit in his capacity as President of the European Council.
