India & Saudi Arabia sign MoUs to enhance cooperation in different areas

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud signed MoUs on September 11. They held the first meeting of the India-Saudi Strategic Partnership Council at Hyderabad House.

Earlier, Saudi’s Crown Prince received a ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Mohammed bin Salman landed in India on September 09 for the G20 Leaders’ Summit.

Addressing a Press Conference in Delhi on September 11, Assistant Deputy of Services Sectors, Investment Ministry, Saudi Arabia Ammar M Altaf stated that our ‘Vision 2030’ has created an important opportunity to enhance our cooperation with India.

On September 11, several MoUs were signed between India and Saudi Arabia in Delhi. The MoUs were signed under the India-Saudi investment deal. These were related to different fields including pharma, agriculture, banking, and IT.

He further said, “We see ample opportunities in agriculture, energy, healthcare, IT, infrastructure, manufacturing industry, minerals, and metals. Representatives from both countries will discuss the same issues”.

Vision 2030 is to ensure Saudi Arabia’s status as the heart of the Arab and Islamic worlds; its determination to become a global investment powerhouse; and transforming its unique strategic location into a global hub connecting three continents, Asia, Europe and Africa.
