Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday greeted everyone on the auspicious occasion of Onam.
PM Modi took to X and posted, “Onam greetings to everyone! May your lives be showered with good health, unparalleled joy and immense prosperity. Over the last many years, Onam has become a global festival and it beautifully showcases the vibrant culture of Kerala.”
Onam festival is the most famous festival celebrated in Kerala. Onam is called harvest festival of Kerala and festival of rain flowers in Kerala.Onam is more than just a harvest festival; it is a celebration of Kerala’s cultural identity, unity, and the spirit of giving. Onam marks the beginning of the Malayalam year, called Kolla Varsham.
Onam festival is celebrated to honor King Mahabali also known as King Bali who visits “Kerala” at the time of Onam.
