ISRO now has capacity to compete with NASA & Roscosmos: Jitendra Singh

Chandrayaan-3 and Aditya-L1 are the outcomes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s progressive policy decisions, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said on Sunday, asserting that ISRO now has the capacity to compete with NASA and Roscosmos in space expeditions.

The lander module of Chandrayaan-3 — the third mission in the Chandrayaan program developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) — touched down on the lunar surface on August 23, making India only the fourth country to accomplish the feat. It is also the first to reach the uncharted south pole of Earth’s only natural satellite.

The recently launched Aditya-L1 is a coronagraphy spacecraft to study the solar atmosphere.

The successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the moon and the recent launch of Aditya-L1 have opened the gates for India to establish its supremacy in space.

During the launch of the ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign at Tikri-1B Panchayat in district Udhampur, Jitendra Singh announced the beginning of the Amrit Kalash Yatras across the country. The campaign involves collecting mitti and rice from every household, symbolizing the people’s participation in the prosperity of the motherland.

Chandrayaan-3 and Aditya-L1 spearhead India’s Amrit Kaal growth journey over the next 25 years: Dr. Jitendra Singh added.

He also urged the public to participate in Amrit Kalash Yatras, take the ‘Panch Pran’ pledge, and commit to India’s progress and development. He emphasized that by doing so, India can reach its peak by 2047.

During the inauguration, Jitendra Singh said, that India’s recent Space marvels have only been possible under PM Modi who has opened up new vistas for India’s space sector through the public-private partnership model and now the ‘sky is not the limit’ dictum has become true for India’s Space Sector.

Dr. Jitendra Singh stated that India has demonstrated its supremacy before the world by showcasing its exceptional human resources and caliber through cost-effective means, despite limited resources. This has positioned India as a prominent nation and a formidable force in science and economy.

Furthermore, he attributed much of India’s success to PM Modi’s progressive policy decisions. He praised the Prime Minister’s ability to bring all stakeholders together and unite them in a joint effort towards collective contribution, which has earned global recognition.
