After the success of The Kashmir Files, director Vivek Agnihotri is back with India’s first bio-science film, The Vaccine War. Set in the tumultuous times of the COVID-19 pandemic, it revolves around medical scientists having a race against time to curate the country’s very own vaccine. The movie stars Nana Patekar , Pallavi Joshi, Anupam Kher , Nivedita Bhattacharya, Raima Sen, and others in the lead roles
Former ICMR Director General Dr Balram Bhargava praised Nana Patekar’s performance in the film ‘The Vaccine War’ by saying that he has done justice to the character. Furthermore, he stated that he is a wonderful actor and people would remember him for his contribution to the film industry. He also spoke about the government’s role in producing the COVID-19 vaccine, saying it was critical in halting the disease’s spread. India was able to prevail against COVID due to the Government’s overall strategy and proactive leadership, he noted.
“I have watched the film and feel Nana Patekar has done justice to my role. He is a great actor and people will remember this role.” On the development of the COVID-19 vaccine, he said, “The government played a crucial role in developing the vaccine. We were able to achieve victory over Covid because of the government’s holistic approach and dynamic leadership”, said DG Dr Balram Bhargava.
The trailer ends on an emotionally high-octane note wherein Nana Patekar’s character promises Anupam Kher who is presumably a Minister that he will create India’s first indigenous vaccine which will be the most safest for everyone in the country. No sooner was the trailer released than fans also started reacting to the same. They gave the riveting subject a huge thumbs up.
