PM Modi to inaugurate key projects worth Rs 34,000 crore in Chhattisgarh and Telangana

In a significant move towards bolstering the nation’s development and fostering the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India), Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Chhattisgarh and Telangana on October 3, to mark the inauguration of several significant development projects collectively valued at over Rs 34,000 crore.

Chhattisgarh Highlights:

In Jagdalpur, Bastar, around 11 AM, Prime Minister Modi will dedicate NMDC Steel Ltd’s Steel Plant at Nagarnar, a greenfield project with an investment exceeding Rs 23,800 crore. This plant is poised to generate high-quality steel and provide employment opportunities, significantly impacting the region’s socio-economic development.

The visit also includes improvements in rail infrastructure, such as the inauguration of the new rail line between Antagarh and Taroki, rail line doubling between Jagdalpur and Dantewara, and the foundation stone laying for the Boridand-Surajpur rail line doubling project and the redevelopment of Jagdalpur Station. Additionally, the Prime Minister will launch the Taroki-Raipur DEMU Train Service, which will improve connectivity in tribal areas.

Furthermore, a road upgradation project along the ‘Kunkuri to Chhattisgarh – Jharkhand Border section’ of National Highway-43 will enhance regional road connectivity.

Telangana Highlights:

In Telangana, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the first 800 MW Unit of phase 1 of the Telangana Super Thermal Power Project of NTPC, which promises to offer low-cost power and support economic development while adhering to environmental standards.

The rail infrastructure in Telangana will receive a boost with the inauguration of the new Railway Line connecting Manoharabad and Siddipet, along with electrification projects between Dharmabad-Manoharabad and Mahabubnagar-Kurnool. These initiatives aim to foster socio-economic development and eco-friendly rail transport.

Moreover, Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone for 20 Critical Care Blocks (CCBs) under the Pradhan Mantri – Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission, strategically located across the state to strengthen critical care infrastructure.
