England football legend David Beckham and Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor are expected to be in attendance for the first semi-final of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup between India and New Zealand.
Former England football captain and Manchester United legend David Beckham came to India on November 13, as the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.
Notably, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has entered into a partnership with UNICEF to empower women and girls and promote inclusion and gender equality through cricket.
Beckham, the owner of MLS team Inter Miami, arrived in India on Monday for a three-day visit and is likely to be present at the Wankhede Stadium on November 15, alongside cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, who is also the Global Ambassador of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.
The Indian team is set to face the Blackcaps, echoing the 2019 semi-final. New Zealand hopes for their third consecutive ODI World Cup final, while India seeks payback for their loss in Manchester.
The India vs New Zealand game is scheduled to commence at 2 pm tomorrow.
