Abu Dhabi, 14th November, 2023 : The second edition of the Global Media Congress is being organised by the Emirates News Agency (WAM) at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, UAE. Under the patronage of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister of UAE, the three-day event brings together 257 brands, marking a 33 percent increase from last year. The opening ceremony was AI infused , with virtual anchors and avatars guiding the proceedings, adding a futuristic touch to the inauguration.
Participants from 172 countries, including 31 newcomers, contribute to the diverse dialogue on media innovations, sustainability, and training.
In its ‘Create Stage’, the Congress explores the evolving role of creators in digital marketing, while the ‘Educate Stage’ hosts interactive sessions covering content evaluation, media futures, and key delivery technologies. Workshops address crucial topics such as sustainability, youth storytelling, and the impact of technologies like ChatGPT. A significant addition to this year’s Congress is an event dedicated to major media buyers, attracting over 400 global participants. With 77 speakers from 18 countries, the conferenceVinod Kumarfeatures 36 sessions covering environmental media, innovation, youth participation, and media training.
Five new features include an innovation and startups platform, a dedicated training and education platform, Future Media Labs, an influencer innovation platform, and sessions discussing challenges and opportunities in the media sector. Coverage of the Global Media Congress will be disseminated worldwide by 800 media professionals from 58 countries, showcasing the event’s global impact and commitment to shaping the future of media.
