The death toll from the ongoing Palestine-Israel conflict has exceeded 14,400, according to official data released by both sides.
Gaza’s government media office announced on Nov 19 that the Palestinian death toll in the Gaza Strip has exceeded 13,000 since the conflict erupted on Oct. 7.
Ismail al-Thawabta, director general of the media office, said at a press conference that among the dead were 5,500 children and 3,500 women, while more than 30,000 others were variously injured.
Al-Thawabta said there were more than 6,000 persons missing, including 4,000 children and women still under the rubble of buildings destroyed by Israeli attacks.
On Nov 18, the Palestinian Health Ministry stated that the ongoing conflict had killed 215 people and injured more than 2,800 in the West Bank.
On the same day, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) issued a statement, confirming the death of 57 soldiers and several injuries since it began ground operations in Gaza.
Based on previous Israeli data, it was estimated that roughly 1,200 Israelis had lost their lives in the conflict.
On Nov 19, the Israeli military said that it had carried out large-scale strikes on Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip from land, air and sea on Nov 18 and 19.
According to The Times of Israel, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi had approved plans to continue ground offensive in the Gaza Strip, and the Israeli army is expected to also launch operations in the Strip’s south.
Palestinian media said on Nov 19, Israeli forces raided the West Bank cities of Jenin and Tubas, and had violent clashes with local Palestinians.
Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, released a video on Sunday, showing it exchanged fire with the Israeli army at Rantisi Hospital in Gaza City, and attacked multiple military vehicles.
The Israeli army announced that towns in southern and northern Israel had been attacked by rockets from the Gaza Strip on Sunday, and air raid sirens had sounded.
