Speaking at COP28 Ghata-Aura emphasized the global commitment to transforming aviation into a green and sustainable sector.Anticipating a significant year marked by progress in environmental and climate initiatives, Ghata-Aura underscored the industry’s growth trajectory, propelled by an increasing emphasis on sustainability.
He highlighted the potential for qualitative opportunities, including job creation and heightened demand, which would contribute to both local and international economies.As COP28 unfolds, Ghata-Aura predicted a significant shift in the aviation sector, particularly in projects involving sustainable fuel. He emphasized the leading role of the United Arab Emirates and other Gulf nations in driving the industry’s crucial development.
Addressing the need for over 3,000 new aircraft in the GCC region over the next two decades, Ghata-Aura stressed the importance of innovative manufacturing methods to meet sustainability targets.Boeing’s dedication to climate, environmental responsibility, and human well-being was reiterated by Ghata-Aura, with a focus on transitioning to Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
