With three vital components, namely forest management certification, tree outside forest (TOF) management certification, and chain of custody certification, the scheme seeks to set high standards for environmental responsibility.
Designed as a voluntary third-party certification system, the scheme offers market incentives for entities that commit to responsible forest management and agroforestry practices. This includes not only state forest departments but also individual farmers, farmer producer organizations, and various wood-based industries within the value chain.
