Israeli Navy strikes Hamas cells in Gaza

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) announced that the Israeli Navy targeted multiple Hamas militant squads near ground forces in the Gaza Strip on Monday morning.

According to the IDF, naval forces conducted strikes on various buildings where Hamas operatives were hiding. Additionally, they targeted positions from which Hamas squads had launched mortars and fired at Israeli soldiers.

Simultaneously, the Air Force carried out an airstrike in the Khan Yunis area, resulting in the death of a Hamas commander. Another separate airstrike eliminated several terrorists who were transporting a rocket, as stated by the IDF.

Further operations in northern Gaza involved soldiers directing an airstrike on a building used by Hamas operatives for shelter.

Approximately 1,200 lives were lost during the attacks by Hamas on Israeli communities near the Gaza border on October 7th.

At present, 129 individuals, including men, women, children, soldiers, and foreigners, are reportedly held captive by Hamas in Gaza.

Israeli authorities continue their efforts to identify bodies and search for missing individuals.
