Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged in a virtual interaction with thousands of beneficiaries of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra on Wednesday, extending gratitude to the people, especially women, for the program’s success. The event, attended by beneficiaries from across the country, also saw the participation of Union Ministers, MPs, MLAs, and local-level representatives.

During his address, PM Modi highlighted the Yatra’s far-reaching impact, as well as its rapid expansion to numerous villages within the span of around 50 days.

“Viksit Bharat Yatra is reaching far-off places and connecting people. I want to thank the people of the country, especially women for making this program a huge success. The Yatra started around 50 days ago, but it has already reached lakhs of villages,” he said.

The Prime Minister pointed out significant achievements since the launch of the Yatra, including the receipt of 4.5 lakh new applications for Ujjwala Gas connections and the distribution of over one crore Ayushman cards. Additionally, health check-ups for approximately 1.25 crore individuals have been conducted.

Discussing the Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) cards, which serve as unique identifiers in the health ecosystem, PM Modi informed that these cards are being rapidly issued. “This card will help maintain a record of medical reports, medicine prescriptions, blood group information and other details,” he said.

The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, initiated on November 15, aims to achieve saturation of flagship government schemes by ensuring their benefits reach all targeted beneficiaries in a timely manner. The Prime Minister has maintained regular interactions with Yatra beneficiaries through video conferencing on November 30, December 9, and December 16. Furthermore, he physically interacted with beneficiaries during his visit to Varanasi on December 17-18.
