PM Modi unveils Ram Lalla idol during grand consecration ceremony in Ayodhya

The much-awaited consecration ceremony of the Ram Lalla idol took place in Ayodhya on Monday, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the newly constructed temple. The event was attended by notable figures such as RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Governor Anandiben Patel, who participated in the sacred rituals.

To the tune of “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram,” choppers showered flower petals over the temple, creating a serene atmosphere. Eminent personalities from various fields, including industrialists Mukesh Ambani, Sunil Mittal, and Anil Ambani, as well as actors Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth, added to the event’s grandeur.

Sports legends Sachin Tendulkar, Anil Kumble, and Saina Nehwal, along with political figures like former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda and TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu, also attended. The Pran Pratishtha ceremony drew representatives from major spiritual and religious sects, showcasing diverse cultural participation.

Before the Pran Pratishtha rituals, singers Sonu Nigam, Anuradha Paudwal, and Shankar Mahadevan performed soulful renditions of Ram Bhajans, adding a musical touch to the celebration. Prime Minister Modi, addressing the gathering, expressed his emotional connection to the event, stating, “The divine moment of Pran Prathishta of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya Dham is an emotional moment for everyone. It is my good fortune to be part of this unique program. Jai Siyaram.”

After the ceremony, Prime Minister Modi interacted with temple construction laborers, recognizing their significant contribution. He also visited the restored Mandir of Bhagwan Shiv at Kuber Tila, performing pooja and darshan.

The inclusion of the Domraja of Kashi among the 14 main Yajmans added a touch of tradition to the event. Ayodhya experienced a pleasant day, free from biting cold, as the Pran Pratishtha ceremony unfolded, symbolizing India’s enduring cultural heritage and spirituality, drawing people from all walks of life.
