Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Goa on February 6, 2024, where he will inaugurate several significant projects. At 10:30 AM, he will open the ONGC Sea Survival Centre, aimed at elevating India’s sea survival training to global standards. The center anticipates training 10,000-15,000 personnel annually, enhancing skills crucial for real-life disasters.
Following this, at 10:45 AM, the Prime Minister will inaugurate India Energy Week 2024, underscoring India’s commitment to achieving energy self-sufficiency. The event, scheduled from February 6 to 9 in Goa, will be the nation’s largest energy exhibition, featuring a roundtable with global oil & gas CEOs and experts. The focus will be on integrating startups into the energy value chain, with 17 Energy ministers from various countries, 35,000+ attendees, and 900+ exhibitors expected to participate.
In the afternoon, at 2:45 PM, the Prime Minister will engage in the Viksit Bharat, Viksit Goa 2047 program, inaugurating projects worth over Rs. 1330 crores. Highlights include the inauguration of the National Institute of Technology Goa’s permanent campus and the National Institute of Watersports’ new campus offering tailored courses for watersports development. Additionally, the Prime Minister will inaugurate a 100 TPD Integrated Waste Management Facility featuring a 500 KW solar power plant.
The foundation stone for the Passenger Ropeway, connecting Panaji and Reis Magos, will be laid, along with the groundbreaking ceremony for a 100 MLD Water Treatment Plant in South Goa. The visit will also witness the distribution of appointment orders to 1930 new government recruits and the handover of sanction letters to beneficiaries of various welfare schemes during the Rozgar Mela.
