Bhutan’s Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay is scheduled to visit India from March 14-18 at the invitation of Prime Minister Modi. This will be Tobgay’s first overseas visit since assuming office in January 2024.
Tobgay will be accompanied by a delegation of ministers, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Trade, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Minister for Industry, Commerce and Employment, as well as senior officials from the Royal Government of Bhutan.
During the visit, Bhutanese PM will call on President Murmu and hold bilateral talks with PM Modi. Tobgay is also scheduled to meet with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and other Indian dignitaries.
India and Bhutan share robust bilateral ties. Tobgay’s visit will offer an opportunity to review the progress of the partnership and explore ways and means to enhance cooperation between the two countries.
