The Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) said on Friday it has collaborated with Qualcomm Technologies Inc., a subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated, in a bid to bolster innovation in India and provide support to local developers and startups.
Qualcomm Technologies will lend its expertise, cutting-edge technology, and intellectual property training to C-DOT, aiding Indian startups, academia, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in the development and commercialization of indigenous telecom products utilizing Qualcomm wireless solutions and technologies, C-DOT said.
The collaboration aims to provide startups, OEMs, and academia access to foundational chip technologies and domain experts, thereby stimulating innovation and facilitating the scaling up of their research and development endeavours.
Moreover, it seeks to expedite the commercialization and business development of Indian startups engaged in crafting indigenous telecom products and solutions, aligning with the government’s initiatives to promote Design in India and Make in India.
